Interested in jewelry design? Come learn the basics of jewelry making with experienced jewelry designer Robin Rotolo. She has been making jewelry for approximately eight years and has pieces on display and for sale at RRAA's gallery in the gift shop at Houmas House Plantation, at RRAA's Depot Gallery at 1008 W Hwy 30 in Gonzales and in Total Woman Boutique at 9244 Florida Blvd in Baton Rouge. She participates in various festivals and shows throughout the year and is on the planning commission for a formal art show in May at Azalea Estates Assisted Living Facility.
Dates are March 28, April 4 and April 11
Class times: 11am to 2pm (students can bring sack lunch if they want)
Cost of the class is $65.00 per session. All supplies and equipment will be provided.
This class will provide hands on training on the use of the jewelry tools, and findings. Bead types and shapes will be discussed also. The student will design and build a necklace, bracelet and a pair of earrings and will leave with the base knowledge to continue to make jewelry and to expand on what they learn in the class.
The minimum number of students she will teach is 3 and the maximum per session is 8. This class is for adults 18 and older.
Robin Rotolo hopes "to encourage students to continue on with the basic knowledge I will provide and will consider offering further instruction to those who might be interested in a design class."
