River Region Art Association
Welcome to River Region Art Association, a place where creativity flows. Founded in 1993, the association is the area’s leading regional art organization. Its region covers the Louisiana parishes of Ascension, Assumption, Iberville, Livingston, St. Charles, St. James and St. John. Membership is open to supporters of the arts and to all artists, both emerging and established. The association is located at 320 East Ascension St. Suite C Gonzales, LA.
River Region Art Association provides many opportunities for its members to show and sell their art to the public. Art is displayed year-round at the River Region Art Depot Gallery and at the Art Gallery at Houmas House Plantation.
In addition, the association coordinates a monthly Art Gumbo Market at the historical Houmas House Plantation and hosts numerous exhibitions in various locations around its community.
River Region Art Association serves the youth of our community through several programs. Each year, the association hosts the March Into Art Youth Show and Reception which showcases and rewards the talent of youth, ages 6-17.
The very popular River Region Summer Art Camp is held in four weekly sessions for hundreds of students each year and is taught by experienced artist/teachers. In addition, member artists provide free hands-on art activities during community festivals several times a year.

River Region Art Association Serves the community in a variety of ways. The Awesome Art on the Bayou Festival, held in the fall at Jambalaya Park n Gonzales, is free and has grown to reach an audience of over 4,000.
The River Region Community Art Classes offer a wide array of classes on a continuing basis. In addition, the association provides workshops featuring renown artists several times a year.
